What is the hullabaloo about “Volodymyr Zelensky clothing”?

Many will say that it’s just a collection of simple green shirts. But the man’s clothing is so much more.

His clothes switch between shades of camo; sometimes his shirts have longer sleeves, but they’re mostly hues of green. Often accompanied by a symbol of the Ukrainian armed forces, these understated wardrobe choices are making big statements.

The words “Volodymyr Zelensky clothing” just a couple of months ago would’ve taken our minds to images of the Ukrainian president donning sharp suits and exuding elegant charm. While his elegant charm has gone nowhere, the man is letting the world know he has better things to do: win a war. The Volodymyr Zelensky t-shirt may be a joke to some, but it’s a statement for sure.

As Russia’s forces continue their advances, the Ukrainians have continued to stay defiant despite the overwhelming size of their enemies. There are disturbing developments courtesy of the Russians, including the mass graves at places like Bucha.

With each speech that Zelensky makes, he earns more and more respect, not just from the Ukrainians but from people around the world. When Zelensky spoke to the US Congress wearing a tactical t-shirt asking them to enforce a no-fly zone, economist and broker Peter Schiff attempted to mock the lack of a suit. He tweeted: “I understand times are hard, but doesn’t the President of the #Ukraine own a suit?”

Unsurprisingly, the internet responded to Volodymyr Zelensky t-shirt look almost immediately:

In an unexpected twist, the world is not enamoured by the tactical look.

The truth is that Volodymyr Zelensky clothing isn’t accidental. He likely meant it as a statement. With his simple combat trousers and shirt style, he’s choosing to connect with the forces fighting for the country, choosing to keep his focus on things that matter, and showing the world how things are done.

With this simple action, he has become a part of the struggle, despite having to lead it from the top. He isn’t the big man sitting alone in a bunker, he’s every single Ukrainian that’s struggling to keep things together.

The grit that Zelenksy has displayed is hard to ignore. Earlier, our CEO, Bruno Mustone, donated 33,600 oxygen masks to the Ukrainian people. The Forces Penpals’ team have been in awe of the pushback that this country has given to the Russian forces, and we will continue to support them. The UK itself has been supporting the country, with SAS troops both officially and unofficially helping out.
