Prince Harry teamed up with Scotty’s Little Soldiers to put together this heart-warming video message for children of military personnel who have lost a parent. According to the organisation, there are more than a thousand children who need support but do not have it.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers focuses on children and young people, who have suffered because someone related to them lost their lives while in active service.

The video shows Spiderman having a chat with some youngsters, telling them to find villains that can stop Christmas. He follows up on this assignment by telling them that it’s okay to miss their loved ones on Christmas, and pushing them to not feel guilty for having fun or missing their parents.

Eventually he takes off his mask to reveal a grin for his viewers. The message was played at the annual Christmas party for the organisation, which was attended by more than 100 young members of the organisation.

Christmas can be a difficult time for families who have lost loved ones to war. Events like this are important to help hold the community together. This is especially true for children, who may find it hard to cope.

The party essentially helped put together a support system in a fun way, where children were able to fight off the isolation and have a good time too.

This year, the charity focused on the “heroes and villains” theme, which is where the video comes in. The lot will be helping save Christmas and fight off villains who are hoping to seal Santa’s presents.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers founder, Nikki Scott, said: “It’s incredible for everyone at Scotty’s to have Prince Harry’s continued support. He knows what it’s like to grow up without a parent and understands there are certain times of the year that can be particularly challenging. Christmas is one of those times.

“We love the fact that Prince Harry not only recorded such a special message but also dressed up as Spider-Man.”

This isn’t the first time Prince Harry has supported the charity, he earlier wrote them a letter for Remembrance Day.

If anything, Prince Harry has a history of trying to step into roles that can help people with mental health and wellbeing. His work with veterans is unknown to nobody.

Let’s do what we can to not only support our soldiers but also their families. It’s things like these that really show us what their real sacrifices look like.
