Setting up the Forces Penpals military dating app on iOS or Android couldn’t be easier. By using the built in capabilities of the Safari and Chrome mobile browsers our app is quick and easy to install without needing to download large files while keeping your private data safe and secure. This technology is known as a Progressive Web App or PWA.

Simply follow the instructions below for your preferred operating system.

Launch the app from Safari browser.

Step 1: Navigate to forcespenpals.net (website) in Safari. 

Step 2:  Tap the ‘Share’ button,

Step 3: Scroll down and tap ‘Add to Home Screen’.

Step 4: Enter the name- ‘Forces Penpals’, then tap add.

 

Forces Penpals military dating app will now show up on your home screen like a native iOS app 🙂

Interestingly, since the release of iOS 11.3, Safari has supported connecting technologies related to PWA. This means the Forces pen pals PWA can work similarly to other native apps by accessing location, acquiring sensor data, activating camera, switching audio output and many more such features. Though, there are some restrictions, especially 50MB storage limit, access limitation to Face ID & Touch ID and push notifications are not activated currently.

Something to not freak out about, iOS will automatically remove Forces PenPals’ PWA files if you don’t open them for a few days. But, don’t worry the icon will remain on the home screen and when you do open the PWA, iOS will re-download all the files again. 

With Android, it’s even simpler and easier to get the FPP Military Dating app on your phone.

Step 1: Open Chrome and Navigate to forcespenpals.net (website) 

Step 2:  Tap the three-dot overflow menu in the top-right corner on the Chrome browser

Step 3:  Select ‘Add to home screen’.

Step 4: Enter the name “Forces Penpals” for the app.

Congratulations you’ve installed the Forces PenPals’  Military Dating PWA successfully.

An advantage for Android users is the PWA experience is more like a traditional native app so features like push notifications can be integrated with it. This feature is absent for iOS users!
