Teenager to jump 18,000 ft for Help for Heroes

A teenage girl has announced she will jump out of a plane at 18,000 ft in a bid to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Alex Webster is taking on the adrenaline-fuelled challenge to show her support for those serving in the armed forces, reports Hucknall Today.

She will complete the stunt with the help of Mansfield's career office and said she chose to donate the funds she raises to Help for Heroes because she has several family members who serve in the forces.

"If I can jump for them it is so much more worthwhile," she explained, adding: "It is something I have always wanted to do so I thought I would do it for charity."

Alex is aiming to raise £500 on the back of her jump and all of the money will go to Help for Heroes, which supports the recovery of injured and wounded former soldiers and other military personnel.
