Game of Thrones fans got a taste of the winter that’s about to come as members of the Night Watch stood partnered with the British Army to put on a show unlike anything we have seen before.

Sky Atlantic made it all possible, and boy are we glad that they did. The Army’s Coldstream Guards helped the Night’s Watch boys do their thing at the Tower of London. You can hear them drumming away a GoT inspired tune as the Night’s Watch comes forward with their demonstration.

You can check it out here:

We loved how the boys walked out as though they were meant to do be there, like they do this every day. The reactions from the audience are priceless as well with some jumping for joy and others covering in fear as though the swords will actually hit them.

Talking about the performance, Richard Maddocks, Coldstream Guards sergeant major said: “We play all over the world at all sorts of concerts and events, but this was genuinely a career highlight for all of us. It’s a favourite TV programme of many of ours, [which] made it an extra-special experience.”

The show’s last season has had many people on the edge of their seats. Season Eight comes after a considerably longer wait than previous seasons, and all hell is about to break loose (or whatever is left of hell anyway, given what the show is like!).

Believe it or not, this performance took two months to put together while the costumes alone took 10 weeks to make.
