What Does Banyan Mean?

Definition: Typically, a “banyan” refers to a period where members of the Navy are allowed to take a break from the sea. They end up on the beach, typically at parties that include BBQs.

Example: I don’t think they understand that a banyan would be pointless if they didn’t finish their work on time. I’d rather we actually relax with my date than worry about how long I have before I need to work again.
