What Does Buckshee Mean?

Branch: All.

Definition: The word takes its roots from Hindi or Urdu, two languages from Asia. The original word Baksheesh means “to grant something”. However, within the UK military’s ranks, it means something extra that’s for free. In the context of a relationship, it could mean something that’s a freebie that wasn’t meant to be a part of the original picture.

Example: Her little Buckshee brother accompanies her everywhere we go. On every single date, he seems to just have to accompany us. I didn’t realise I had inadvertently signed up for babysitting when I started taking a liking to her!
