Do you ever go to the shops and not remember where you parked your car when you come out?

One women in the Czech Republic was left red-faced after she couldn't locate her vehicle, but it turned out not to be her fault.

While Lenka Nowotna was at the store, the ground had collapsed and her motor had sunk.

The reason is that engineers were tunnelling out new water mains and pranksters had removed the no parking sign put out to warn motorists.

Ms Nowotna stated: "One minute [the car] was there, the next it had gone. I only came out to get some crisps for my son's birthday party."

This must have been a bit embarrassing for the lady, but thankfully this bizarre story has a happy ending.

Fire-fighters were able to drag the vehicle out of the hole and hopefully she will be able to continue using it.
