A military charity has been helped by vintage car owners, who gathered on the banks of the Thames to raise money through a barbecue.
According to the Oxford Mail, the Radley College Boathouse played host to the Ox and Berks Morris Minor Club, which arranged a day of food and music, a raffle and an auction.
The group were able to support soldiers who have served their country by donating £1,800 to Help for Heroes, which aids military personnel who have been wounded in action.
Club chairman Bill Hewlett told the newspaper: "We put all our efforts together and everybody had a fantastic time. It really was a great event and the weather helped. We had a very good turn-out."
The Hereford Times recently reported that local pub the Cotterell Arms is teaming up with ex-Hereford United player Ian Rodgerson to offer support to Help for Heroes through an auction of sporting goods.
