A fundraiser has earned money for Help for Heroes by walking around his village constantly for an entire day.
Peter Lilley, a firefighter from Barcombe, took on the feat and raised £1,950, the Sussex Express reports.
He trekked around the streets from the moment the sun rose until dusk, covering over 44 miles in total.
It took him 17 laps and 16 hours to finish his mission, in which the resident was joined by some of the other locals for the final circuit.
"Hard work and fantastic support by all those involved made the day," Mr Lilley says.
As well as the walk, local businesses helped by donating prizes for a raffle, while a cake sale also boosted the fundraising efforts.
Mike Jeffs and Gemma Spurling recently decided to raise funds for Help for Heroes by trekking up a series of mountains wearing matching fancy dress, the Haverhill Echo reported.
