With Valentine's Day fast approaching, now could be the ideal time for single soldiers to turn their attention to online dating.
Writing for Metro.us, Alison Bowen suggested the internet can provide an opportunity for singletons to locate a prospective partner for February 14th.
The expert recommended individuals update their online profiles in preparation for the big day.
She explained: "You may have spent 30 hours on that 30-minute blurb, but its likely [to be] stale. Use active verbs, jazzy adjectives."
Singles should suggest different types of dates – rather than the usual drink in a bar – if they want to catch someone's imagination, Ms Bowen claimed.
The specialist added people should always use a suitable profile picture to lure the right kind of person.
Writing recently for ADI News, Mark Whysall noted finding a suitable location for a first date – preferably one that is busy but not too loud – is a crucial part of online dating.
