A businessman in the US is taking a novel approach to starting a new life – he is going to sell his old one.
Shane Butcher has put all of his possessions – which includes his chain of computer game shops, two homes, three supercars and his pet dog – on eBay for $3.5 million (£2.2 million).
He is going to use the money raised to go travelling with his wife and then set up a new business whenever he is finished.
"I will assist the buyer with ownership transfer paperwork. You will be taught the ins and outs of the business. You will be granted access to all distributors and trade secrets," Mr Butcher stated.
No one has bid for the American Dream yet, but it is certainly an interesting way to get rid of all your possessions and there have been over 45,000 hits on his eBay page so far.
