UK ladies ‘are hard to impress online’

British women are the second hardest in Europe to impress online.

Only ladies from France are less likely to respond to a man's advances over the internet, research by Badoo.com has discovered.

This means that men in the UK will have to put a lot of effort into an online dating page if they are going to find Mrs Right, while they should also be ready to persevere and have a number of meetings.

Louise Thompson, director of PR for Badoo, said: "French women are clearly getting lots of male attention. They can pick and choose when to respond."

Helena Frith Powell, the British author of Love In A Warm Climate, noted that skill and effort is required if people want to flirt successfully.

Ladies in the Czech Republic were found to be the most likely to respond to a suitor's advances, followed by women from the Netherlands and Sweden.
