Tyra Banks has said she considers herself to be something of an online dating expert.
Speaking to Buzzfeed, the former supermodel revealed the medium is basically about marketing and she views this as one of her strengths.
Although she has yet to use a web-based service herself, Banks has plenty of experience with how it works.
"I've guided my friends through the photo-taking process. I'm all about it for them. I teach them how to smile. I take their pictures myself," she added.
Banks thinks that when people are creating an online dating profile for the first time, they should treat it as a resume.
In terms of choosing the picture, the host of America's Next Top Model said a snap showing off a subtle but confident smile is very important.
Banks has brought out an app that claims to turn any headshot into the perfect picture, which could come in handy for anyone trying out online dating.
