Our forces wouldn’t be what they are if it weren’t for the many lethal women we have on board. This International Women’s Day, different branches of the British Armed Forces paid tribute to some of their strongest fighters.

RAF celebrated the day by honouring their female personnel. This was the first branch to open its doors to women and there has been no looking back. Check out their tribute:

The British Army produced this powerful video, which gave us goosebumps. It followed Bombardier Jenny Findlay as she fired the One O’clock Gun at Edinburgh Castle today.

The Royal Navy used its women to put forward a serious message for younger recruits. The women who have done is all spoke of their strengths and how those strengths helped them achieve their dreams in the navy.

The navy also released this picture:

Throughout history, we have countless examples of women stepping forward and helping the country win one battle after the other. As the world evolves, the roles they have taken on have become more diversified, while the number of women in the armed forces has also increased.

This Women’s Day we’d also like to take a moment to thank all the powerful women who fill the ranks of our armed forces. Let’s continue to support these amazing soldiers and celebrate their contributions.
