Herds of cows in Sussex are being given the chance to take advantage of online dating in order to meet their perfect match.
The West Sussex County Times has told how herds in Steyning are the subject of a new test that aims to work out whether online technology can match certain cows to the ideal bulls.
Tim Gue, who owns about 400 cows that produce in the region of 20,000 pints of milk a day, is trying out the system at the moment.
He explained: "The programme is really easy to use. Farmers know what sort of cows suit their farm and the programme allows you to see which of a group of bulls are best suited to them."
Mr Gue added that there is such a wide variety of information related to cows that it was previously extremely difficult to match partners, but the solution makes this much simpler.
