A woman whose husband lost both his legs while serving as a soldier in Afghanistan will walk the length of the Great Wall of China to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Lisa Marie Arnold, 31, will tackle the 80km route next month as she bids to do her bit for the military charity, reports Lynn News.

Her husband Steve was seriously injured by a bomb that detonated in Afghanistan, leading to the double amputation.

"I've seen first hand what they have done, not just for Steve, but for me and for thousands of others. I don't think we would have coped as well without the support of some amazing charities," Ms Arnold explained.

She went on to note that her husband continues to do all he can for Help for Heroes and she is "so proud" of all that the pair of them have achieved together since the incident.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801556365-ADNFCR
