Sharon Osbourne has hit out at Martha Stewart, suggesting she is only using online dating websites in a bid to ensure a wave of publicity.
The US business magnate, 71, recently revealed she has taken to the web in order to find love, but her plan has not impressed Osbourne.
She told Extra host Mario Lopez: "At her age? I think it's rather desperate. I don't think for one minute she'd go out with somebody she met online. Silly woman."
Despite Osbourne's scathing words, thousands of people around the world are finding love thanks to online dating sites, proving the platform does work.
Online dating gives individuals the chance to meet many people they would otherwise not have been in a position to start talking to.
It is also a great idea for those who do not have too much free time, as they can visit sites and evaluate prospective partners at any time of the day that suits them.
