Sailor’s finacee takes part in charity calendar

A hotel receptionist is showing some flesh to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Claire Harris – whose fiancee is in the Royal Navy – has been selected as Miss October in the Pin-Up For Heroes calendar, the Plymouth Herald reports.

The lady remarked she had been looking to do something for the organisation for a while in recognition of her partner's efforts.

"When I found out they were looking for girls for the calendar to raise money for the charity, I sent off a photo," she added.

Ms Harris continued by saying she never expected to get picked, but then she was contacted and asked to be part of the 1940s and 50s-inspired shoot.

She observed she was delighted to pose in a specially-designed red dress.

It is the third year in a row the calendar has been made and so far £8,000 has been raised from the previous two versions.
