The Red Arrows Aerobics team is to take to the road to raise money for hero soldiers.
They will be swapping their planes for scooters as they attempt to ride from Lands End to John O'Groats in an effort to generate cash for Help for Heroes, the BBC reports.
And while the journey in their BAE Systems Hawk jets would usually only take them a little over an hour, this excursion – riding red Vespa 125 S scooters – is set to last around four days.
As well as the Help for Heroes cause, the daredevils will also be collecting sponsorship money for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, the Royal Air Forces Association, Whizz-kidz and Fly2help.
Mike Ling, who has organised the fundraiser, said: "The other pilots wanted to get involved as it's such a great opportunity to raise money for good causes."
Young polo sensation Toby Addison said he aims to raise cash for Help for Heroes by undertaking a number of challenges after being named the most promising ten-year-old polo player in England, This is Sussex reported.
