A railway has recently hosted a special fun day in a bid to raise as much money as possible for Help for Heroes.
The Nene Valley Railway held its charity day on Saturday (June 20th) and put on a range of attractions and entertainment options in a bid to attract people, reports the Peterborough Telegraph.
Mixed steam and diesel traction engines are among those that could be enjoyed at the event, and discounted tickets for families and retired service personnel were on offer.
In addition, there was a Spitfire flypast over Stibbington at about 14:35 BST on Saturday, and a bouncy assault course for the many children who were taken to the charity day for a fun day out.
Perhaps the highlight of the day came at 13:30 BST, when a special Help for Heroes collection train was operated, providing a chance for vital funds to be raised for the military charity.
