A Royal Air Force (RAF) engineer is staging a sponsored walk to raise cash for the Help for Heroes charity.
It is the second such event Dave Lewis – who is based at RAF Lyneham in Oxfordshire – will take part in, the Malvern Gazette reports.
Mr Lewis held a money-raising hike last year and he has set up another one for Saturday September 18th.
He will tackle the Malvern Hills as part of the fundraising event and said he thought "it would be a challenge to walk the length of the Hills".
"I then decided it would be fun to invite other people to join me and to raise money," he added.
The route will have two courses this time round, with an easier one starting at Malvern Hills Hotel and a more challenging one getting underway from Bromsberrow – with both culminating at Rosebank Gardens.
Adam Dufton, a student from Keighley, recently took part in a bungee jump for the Help for Heroes organisation, the Telegraph and Argus reports.
