A quiz has been held by a Leatherhead business in order to raise money for the military charity Combat Stress.

Menzies, an accountancy firm, recently hosted its 22nd annual quiz in aid of the good cause and managed to raise a total in excess of £4,000, reports the Dorking and Leatherhead Advertiser.

It took place on March 14th and teams from more than 40 local businesses, community organisations and banks attended.

Paul Hickson, a spokesman for Menzies, said: "The teams filled the hall and provided a great atmosphere as they tackled questions thrown at them by the question master and his virtual assistant."

Some members of Menzies' workforce took on the role of looking after the participants to ensure they had a great evening.

All of the money raised will now go towards helping military personnel who leave the services with psychological problems, with the charity known to support more than 5,400 veterans in the UK.
