Help for Heroes is set to gain from one man's determination to complete a 150-mile walk in aid of injured soldiers and their families.
Policeman Paul Sullivan, 55, is set to complete the popular route from Porto Cathedral in the north of Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain, reports the Keighley News.
He has a personal interest in the forces and how those who are wounded in them are supported afterwards as his son is a gunner in the Royal Air Force Regiment.
Mr Sullivan admitted he has been a long-term admirer of the work carried out by Help for Heroes, even before the days when his son was part of the military.
His son has already completed one stint in Afghanistan and is set to return in either April or May next year.
He is due to undertake the walk from September 4th to 14th and would like people to sponsor him.
