People and cars in Tunbridge Wells have had to dodge a free-running ostrich that is currently on the loose in the area.
Images of the bird have been posted on Twitter and one shows it sprinting down the road between Speldhurst and Rustall.
Local resident Colin Grant told the Telegraph: "It was dashing around pretty fast. When I first saw it, it overtook me and I was doing about 30 mph, so it must have been going at 40 mph-plus."
Another eyewitness, Tina Arnold, told the Kent and Sussex Courier that there was no doubt the bird was an ostrich, even though it is the last creature one might expect to find in Kent.
Someone has already set up a spoof Twitter account supposedly belonging to the ostrich, detailing its adventure.
It is not yet clear where the animal is from or how it came to be free in Tunbridge Wells.
