People who are looking for love have been advised that online dating is now one of the easiest and most effective ways to secure a new partner.
Micah Abrams, writing for Digital Trends, suggested searching for love on the web "is just like shopping online", such is the efficiency of the process.
It is simple and quick to filter out unsuitable matches and focus on those who could potentially have what somebody is looking for.
Ms Abrams also noted that, in her case, online dating provided a chance to explore a new city, as all the dates took her to various bars and restaurants.
While a number of online dates do not lead to anything substantial, all of them were fun and entertaining, she said.
As such, it seems like the obvious way to find a whole host of possible lovers who can be put to the test online, as well as during enjoyable dates.
