Online dating is becoming an increasingly popular way for people to meet that special someone.
This is according to the Bowes-Lyon Partnership, which seeks to give individuals advice on how to be successful when going out with someone.
It pointed to the statistic that between 2007 and 2010, almost one-fifth (17 per cent) of people who got married met through an online dating agency.
This highlights how the medium not only works, but is becoming an essential option for some single individuals looking for Mr or Mrs Right.
The organisation highlights how it is important for people to find a member of the opposite sex that shares a similar lifestyle, as finding activities to carry out together should be easier this way.
Moreover, people should also take time to get to know any potential matches – rather than judging them after only one date – as sparks may not necessarily fly straight away.
