Online dating might seem confusing to those who are not knowledgeable about the web.
But organisers of a new programme in Northwich aim to allay these concerns and introduce residents to the internet, the Northwich Guardian reports.
Learning centres around the town are offering taster sessions that allow people to sample long-term courses on offer.
These will cover basic computing, lifestyle and employability programmes and an introduction to online dating, amongst other useful tools, the news source notes.
"We provide useful training, as well as the opportunity for people to engage in leisure pursuits online [and] absolutely free," says tutor Mark Littler.
It also offers participants the chance to become digital champions and promote the web to others in their area.
A recent piece in the Observer advised singletons to choose their online dating site wisely, as there are many that target a wide range of interests, while others are tailored to specific requirements.
