The news source cited the example of a US couple who found it advantageous to learn more about each other through digital correspondence before they decided to meet in the flesh.
Tina Wilhelm met her husband Steve on the web and claimed it was three to four weeks before the duo physically saw one another.
"It was kind of nice because I felt like we actually got to know each other a little better than just meeting in person right away," she explained.
