An online auction and a golf day fundraiser are being held to help raise funds for soldiers and ex-servicemen.
The events also aim to raise money for the families of those in the military and the proceeds will go to the Coldstream Guards Afghan Fund and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, PropertyWeek reports.
Launching today (July 20th), the online auction is expected to collect in the region of £100,000, while the sports outing should prove a high-profile spectacle.
It is taking place at New Zealand Golf Club near Woking on July 22nd and will involve commercial property companies paying £5,000 to take part.
Harry Scope, organiser of the get-together, remarked: "There is lots of interest in what our soldiers are doing. This event is a great way to align the sentiment and become involved."
A wristband campaign was recently launched in Lincolnshire in an effort to raise cash and drum up support for members of the 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment before they are deployed to Afghanistan.
