Those who add an outdated photo to their online dating profile might be unintentionally deceiving a prospective partner.
Coleen Nolan offers some advice in the Daily Mirror, after a reader admitted to using an old picture on a social networking site.
The individual explained she selected the image on purpose, because she now weighs a lot more and looks different.
Nolan – who is a Loose Women panellist and agony aunt – suggests the reader tells her love interest that she has put on weight and might not resemble the picture exactly.
She explains otherwise it is deceiving the other person and it is important to be honest if the relationship is to go anywhere.
Mygloss.com recently advised people to act in the same way via the web as they would in person, as this helps them to be more considerate towards others, such as fellow users of online dating sites.
