Bank officials have shown they are barking mad after they tried to get money off a dog.
Staff at NatWest wrote to Noodles the dog to inform the canine that he was overdrawn by £6.84, the Leicester Mercury reports.
The letter said the pooch had 14 days to get in contact and discuss his options with the lender.
Rupert Chapman, who had only recently moved into the house where the note arrived, was left shocked, as he has a dog, but it is a six-year-old labradoodle called Charley who has no bank account.
"When the letter came it was addressed to Noodles the dog – it was clearly someone who was in the house before – and I had no idea what it could be," Mr Chapman added.
He said the the situation got even funnier when he realised the bank's contact was called Mr Collier.
NatWest got in touch to say it is not unusual for people to take out accounts in the name of their pets, but Mr Chapman will not be expected to cover the payment.
