Help for Heroes stands to benefit from an innovative music project that has been formed in North Yorkshire.
The Northern Echo has told how a fundraising scheme between a military wives' choir and bands from the county has been supported by foreign secretary William Hague.
Harmonies for Heroes will result in a CD being produced and a celebratory concert held at the Phoenix House recovery centre in Catterick Garison.
Mr Hague recently met up with the Catterick choir's musical director Carol Gedye, who told him about the aim of the concert on March 15th.
In a video of their meeting that was posted on YouTube, the politician said it was an event that appeals to him, primarily because it involves so many of the people he represents in North Yorkshire.
He suggested it is a "wonderful thing to do" and something that will benefit the whole community.
