A live music event in Sutton Benger has helped to raise in excess of £2,000 for the military charity Help for Heroes.
The sold out evening of entertainment took place in the village hall on January 25th and featured warm-up act Skies on Fire, followed by headliners The Bridge, reports the Gazette & Herald.
Building firm Redrow put up £400 to ensure the event could go ahead, perhaps to mark the fact it has just bought land to expand The Park estate in the village.
Libby Bolton, area sales manager for Redrow South West, said: "Community is at the heart of everything we do and we are proud to be able to support Help for Heroes, who do so much fantastic work across the country."
Organiser Rob MacNevin added that he was delighted by the support of Redrow, as its money ensured the event was a huge success.
