Help for Heroes has benefited to the tune of £200,000 after Moto in the Community launched a huge fundraising campaign over the course of the last 12 months.

The hospitality group chose Help for Heroes as its charity of the year and it has promised to continue to support it through 2013, reports UK Fundraising.

Staff and customers at Moto service stations put their hands in their pockets to raise the impressive figure throughout 2012.

Tedworth House, one of Help for Heroes' recovery centres, will be given a new vegetable garden with the windfall, while it will also be used to sponsor a bedroom for a resident.

Moto in the Community was set up by Moto in 2005 and its aim is to raise money to help people in the 56 parts of the UK where it has a presence.

To date, it has raised a massive £1.7 million for good causes, with Help for Heroes just the latest to benefit.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801576208-ADNFCR
