Single soldiers and those who are preparing to date somebody new should ensure they are relaxed and control their nerves.
This is the advice of Coleen Nolan, who responded to a Daily Mirror reader who was worried about starting a relationship.
"Don't try too hard to be funny or charming – just be yourself because that's who she wants," she suggests.
Women will soon appear disinterested if they sense desperation, so males should ensure they are not too eager or nervous, the TV personality advises.
And those ready to meet their love interest in person might like to follow Coleen's advice for a first date, as she believes going out for a meal is one of the best options.
A recent piece in the Huffington Post noted it can be a good idea to try something more unique, such as heading to an art show and critiquing the work in a lighthearted way together.
