Despite deliberately creating an unattractive profile on an online dating website, one woman has revealed she actually received hundreds of responses from men eager to take her out.
US columnist Alli Reed set up an account with a dating site in which she made several bold and unappealing claims – all of which were untrue.
For instance, she explained she had lied to her parents about attending law school in order to get money out of them for partying and that one of her hobbies is knocking the cups out of homeless people's hands.
She went on to note that she was still receiving child support from a previous partner after deceiving him into believing she was pregnant.
What's more, Ms Reed suggested she was only interested in rich men getting in touch with her.
Despite this, more than 150 men sent a message asking her on a date within 24 hours, indicating male online daters are not always turned off by what they read.
