Men need to send ladies ‘the right text message’

Men need to put time and effort into thinking about what to text a girl they are interested in.

This is the opinion of dating expert Carlos Xuma, who noted that guys will be looking to show ladies they have a mixture of confidence, nonchalance and integrity.

"Often girls look at text conversations as that first doorway. If a guy blows it here, he often won't make it through that doorway," he added.

Mr Xuma – author of The Bad Boy Formula and Secrets of the Alpha Male – pointed to the character of James Bond as the kind of man that women will typically be interested in.

Coming across as self-assured is vital if guys are going to secure a face-to-face meeting, where they can then use their personality to build up a relationship.

However, men should steer clear of being too cheesy, as this may harm their long-term chances of love.
