More than £70,000 has been raised by a Manchester brewer over the last year, way ahead of its initial target of £50,000.
Joseph Holt is to donate the huge sum to the military charity after its staff and customers organised a range of events to raise money in recent months.
Everything from bungee jumps to cycle rides, bikini car washes and family fun days were held in a bid to increase the fund.
The Kings Head was picked out as the top performer in the fundraising project, having contributed £3,310 to the pot, more than any other pub or brewery.
Next on the league table of top fundraisers were the Welcome Inn, the Spread Eagle, the Morning Star and the Queens Hotel respectively.
Help for Heroes' Helen Loynes said: "Joseph Holt had a great idea, rallied support and had a great deal of fun while raising money for a wonderful cause. It's hugely appreciated."
