Man drives his Lexus into a swimming pool

Having a swimming pool in your backyard must be great fun in the summer.

However, the Diaz family from Florida got more than they bargained for when they looked out at the pool one morning.

This is because a Lexus was sitting at the bottom of it, after a driver crashed through their garden wall.

"We woke up to an awful noise and looked outside and a car was in the pool," said resident 16-year-old Janelle Diaz.

The teenager went on to note it has been a standing joke in the family for a while that someone may end up doing something similar because their wall has been hit before.

It is believed the driver – who has been named as Modesto Cabral – was under the influence of alcohol when the accident happened, so maybe he was just looking to cool down.

Luckily for Mr Cabral, he was able to swim.
