Individuals are unlikely to click on a boring message and so time and effort should be spent on making sure they come across as engaging.
According to the Canadian, it is also essential that time is set aside to update a status, description and profile photo.
If people find they are not getting the kind of results they were hoping for, then they should not hesitate to change it up.
"Your profile picture should be recent, cropped (showing yourself only), look great and tell a story," the paper added.
As well as this, individuals need to show off their smile in the photo, as the last thing they want to do is come across as disinterested.
Nobody should put up a profile that has spelling errors, as making simple mistakes could result in others making snap judgements.
