Some £21,000 has been raised for the Royal British Legion (RBL) through the sale of special edition Liverpool FC shirts.
The tops – which were embroidered with poppies – were worn during Liverpool's match against Chelsea on Remembrance Sunday and then auctioned off on eBay.
Liverpool FC captain Steven Gerrard's kit raised the most, as the winning bid was £2,650.
He said: "It was an honour for the lads to wear the poppy on our shirts and donate them to the RBL to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal."
Gerrard added he is thankful for the hard work carried out by the armed forces who are serving on the front line.
Charles Byrne, director of national events and fundraising at the RBL – which has been going for over 90 years – thanked Liverpool FC for their support as the money raised will help both current and ex-servicemen and women.
