A collection of musicians from Liverpool are to take part in a special gig that aims to generate cash for soldiers injured in action.
The Help for Heroes concert is being held at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and will raise money for a number of armed forces-related organisations, the Liverpool Echo reports.
These include Help for Heroes, the Soldiers, Sailors Airmen and Families Association and ABF – The Soldiers' charity.
Performing at the spectacle will be the Mersey Beatles, Thomas Lang and Sense of Sound, among others.
Serving soldier Dougie Icke has organised the event and the serviceman said he thought up the idea knowing that "if there was a full house and great performances, it would be a great success and raise lots of money for the lads and girls."
The Scarborough Evening News recently reported more than £200 was raised for Help for Heroes when a special zumba dance session was held at Compass Health and Fitness.
