Women hoping to get involved in some army dating shouldn’t wear Ugg boots or Harem-style trousers because soldiers aren’t keen on them.

According to a study by MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk, a lot of the things ladies think are fashionable don’t go down well with blokes, with 57 per cent giving Uggs the thumbs down.

Those going on dates with hot soldiers should also avoid Jeggings, which over half of guys don’t like, and anything in neon colours, which a whopping 73 per cent said they hated.

Nearly half of guys don’t like tattoos on women either.

Andy Barr, marketing director of the website, said: "It’s really interesting to see that some of last year’s fashions have been so unappealing, particularly when they have sold so successfully. It’s a fascinating look at how men and women think so differently."

Female soldiers should also avoid slapping on too much makeup when going on a date with a hot soldier, according to research by skincare experts St Ives.
