You should never try to over think your answers to any question and instead focus on writing exactly what comes naturally.

After all, nothing is a trap or a ploy to extract a confession out of you, so relax and be yourself – both when you are penning your profile and in exchanges with prospective dates.

There are a number of words and phrases you should avoid using to describe yourself – such as witty, ambitious, humble and down to earth – as these will put people off you.

A much better idea is to mention some of the television shows, films and bands you enjoy and allow these to become a starting point for conversations.
