Single soldiers may be registered with social networking sites merely for a bit of fun. But those who have gone online in the hope of finding their soul mate may wonder how they will know when they have met the right person.
"It is not simply a matter of meeting a person who is a carbon copy of you, but of meeting a person who is a part of you and together you bring out the best qualities in each other," suggests Kurt Avish, writing for Island Crisis.
He says that single soldiers will know when they have met the one, as they will feel their partner complements them in every way possible.
A level of trust is vital for any relationship to work, Kurt adds, stating that reciprocal trust has to be a solid foundation.
However, it may be that members of the armed forces are too picky when it comes to finding love online. Anne Hollands, president of Relationships Australia, recently told the Mosman Daily that broadening your search to people who aren’t your usual types may help you to find your soul mate.
