Customers of one pub in Hertford have taken part in an event to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Regulars at the Harts Horn managed to generate £2,200 for the charity after holding a sponsored clay pigeon shoot, reports the Mercury.
The shoot took place at Codicote Bottom Farm in September and was attended by 31 people and their families.
Organiser Patrick Clifford said: "I had originally set a target of £500 as our goal but with the support of local businesses … plus the shooters, their sponsors and families we managed to achieve the welcome total of £2,200."
Co-founder of Help for Heroes Bryn Parry added the charity is absolutely delighted to have the support of the Harts Horns, describing the group's efforts as "fantastic".
All of the money raised will go towards supporting wounded ex-soldiers and armed forces personnel who were injured while serving their country.
