A woman whose own son survived a bomb in Afghanistan is aiming to raise money for Help for Heroes through baking.

Sally Amoore from Llanddwei Velfrey is asking celebrities to suggest their favourite recipes, which she will then turn into a recipe book, reports the Carmarthen Journal.

Among those to have already suggested their chosen dishes for the book are Lorraine Kelly, Pippa Middleton and chef Raymond Blanc.

In the run-up to the Colossal Cake Sale on May 10th, Ms Amoore is also planning to bake enough cakes to feed an army at Narberth Town Hall.

Last year, she raised £4,500 through holding such a sale in Narberth and this year that figure could be beaten.

"We want as many cakes as possible. We ran out of cakes last year and raised £4,500 despite [some] pretty awful weather," Ms Amoore explained.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801708573-ADNFCR
