Herd of ducks take to Chinese motorway

There is nothing worse than getting caught up in traffic on the motorway.

Usually, long queues are caused by accidents or roadworks, but drivers in China recently had to wait because of a herd of ducks.

Farmer Xu Ling decided to march his birds on a main road in Hunan, as it is the quickest way to get back to his house.

"I know I shouldn't do it and that the police will fine me if they see me, but I have more than 200 birds and you need a wide road to herd them all along at the same time," Mr Ling stated.

The man clearly has skills though, as the ducks were tremendously well behaved and stayed in their group for the entire distance.

Mr Ling observed that if he takes the other route back to his field, he loses too many birds because of the narrow alleyways he's forced to navigate.
