A charity pre-season friendly will take place between Bury Town and Wootton Bassett FC.
Scheduled for July 16th, all proceeds from the match will go to Help for Heroes, the Bury Free Press reports.
Wootton Bassett chairman Chris Jones and Bury vice chairman Adrian Lewis dreamt up the idea and all uniformed armed forces members will be allowed in for free.
"We are trying to get as many servicemen from as many bases down to the game in uniform as possible and hope to have an army band on the pitch," Mr Lewis observed.
As well as offering people the opportunity to help a good cause, it will also offer fans of Bury Town – which has been in existence since 1872 – the chance to see the first-team squad for the new season.
Adults will have to pay a £5 entry fee, while concessions have to part with £3.
